Ninebot Max G2 – Free Max Speed (40kmh/25mph) Firmware Now Available

ScooterHacking has released support for the Ninebot G2 series scooters in their SHFW firmware, Read more about SHFW here.

Continuing on the success of their recently released STLink compatibility to ReFlasher, the team at ScooterHacking has now released a patched CFW for Ninebot Max G2.

Download it directly from ScooterHacking.

The firmware allows for max speed (40 kmh/25mph) in Race Mode.

This is a free alternative to the $50 XiaoDash firmware while SH continues to work on SHFW.

Notes:

  • This firmware still requires the controller to be on a version that allows flashing.
  • This can be done through an STLink and ReFlasher.

Installation

Download ScooterHacking Utility and load the file under “Load Zip”.

Click Flash to begin the update.

    Could I have a new hack for the newest Ninebot update? My MAX G2 is on the newest update, and I want to unlock the speed, as I’ve got the MAX G2D variant, limited to 20km/h.

      This firmware still requires the controller to be on a version that allows flashing.
      This can be done through an STLink and ReFlasher.

      so in order to get the speed hack, you need to take apart your scooter and st link it to downgrade in order to flash the file.

        That is correct, but there are some “workarounds” that some of the app developers have discovered that I believe are still in play that can be done fully over bluetooth.
