Error 14 on a Ninebot Max.
"Throttle Hall is abnormal, please check the Throttle Switch, Dashboard & related Connections"

Cause

Error 14 is caused when the throttle hall sensor is reporting a value outside of the expected range.

This can be easily replicated by holding down the throttle when starting up the scooter.

In the field, this error can be caused by the magnet coming dislodged inside the throttle.

The error can also happen if the 049E hall sensor is blown due to a voltage spike or some other issue.

Fix

The first thing to check is that the handlebar grip isn't preventing the throttle from utilizing its full range.

Pull it back outwards and see if that fixes the issue.

Next, unscrew the dashboard cover and remove it to confirm that the connector for the throttle is still plugged in firmly.

If that does not solve the issue, you may need to disassemble the throttle or buy a new one.

The next thing to check is that the magnets within the throttle are still in the correct place.

The throttle will have to be disassembled to access the magnets.
