Firmware is the "operating system" of the different parts of the scooter.

BMS firmware is responsible for the battery and its charging.
It stands for Battery Management System and is also just referred to as battery firmware.
BMS 1.5.5 was the third known Ninebot Max BMS update.

User Notes
This version has the same issues as BMS 1.5.3 did.
Primarily it will go into charging mode when using regen braking which will shut off the headlight or change the mode.
This behavior can be dangerous so this version is not recommended to run.
