This version is apparently only compatible with Ninebot Max G2 BLE 1.11.0.

In the meantime, a lower version number, 1.7.6 was pushed out to the majority of users.

Feedback via Reddit:

Positive feedback

  • The new N20 (boost) mode is very noticeable, providing a significant power increase.
  • Some users with the 02GVE version have reported successfully maintaining a 35 km/h speed with a BLE hack, even with the update.

Negative feedback

  • Update availability is inconsistent, with many users reporting that they are unable to access it through either the global or Chinese app.
  • Some users who had previously applied speed hacks have reported that the update has caused their top speeds to drop to 28-29 km/h, even with a max speed set at 35 km/h.
  • The update appears to have been rescinded due to potential issues, as it is no longer available even through the Chinese app.

Other notes

  • A tip for those who have successfully updated to 1.11.0: Setting the max speed to 34 km/h instead of 35 km/h can result in a smoother ride with less ghost braking.
