The update message for DRV 1.8.8 from the Segway-Ninebot app.

Firmware is the "operating system" of the different parts of the scooter.

DRV firmware is responsible for the ESC and the driving performance of the vehicle.

DRV firmware is also known as ESC (Electronic Speed Control) or "Master Control" firmware.

DRV 1.8.8 was the tenth DRV update for the Ninebot Max.

Improve the power performance of the German model firmware

This version seems to be German-region only and allows vehicles to travel up to 22 km/h in sport mode.

Like DRV 1.8.7 and others it has downgrade protection and requires an STLink to downgrade.
