The update message for DRV 1.5.1 from the Segway-Ninebot app.

Firmware is the "operating system" of the different parts of the scooter.

DRV firmware is responsible for the ESC and the driving performance of the vehicle.

DRV firmware is also known as ESC (Electronic Speed Control) or "Master Control" firmware.

DRV 1.5.1 was the third update for the Ninebot Max.

Official Changelog

1. Adapt to European regulations 17128, Disabled the cruise control function for European models, updated the walk mode function (the headlights or taillights cannot be turned off in walk mode), the scooter cannot be turned off when the speed is over 4 km/h.
2. New button control function of front light switch for German models.
3. Optimize braking performance and improve the stability of braking function.
4. Improve firmware stability.[1]

User Notes

This version disables the ability to use cruise control for German/some European regions/serials.
